The Bride Price: Consequences of Child Marriage Worldwide is a video containing moving images by Stephanie Sinclair - recipient of the 2007 UNICEF Photo of the Year - on the many issues of child marriage. Sinclair’s photos include compelling images of child brides in Afghanistan, Ethiopia and India. Sinclair’s previous work on child marriage includes a photo essay of Afghani child brides published in The New York Times.

EconomistMagazine videos: Stephanie Sinclair, a photographer, spent time from 2003 onwards with child brides in Afghanistan. Girls as young as 8 are married off to settle debts and disputes or sold to raise money.

An estimated 250,000 children are exploited every day as child soldiers around the world. There are more than 30,000 former child soldiers in the West African nation of Liberia alone, many of whom are eager to help rebuild their country. Now a unique photography program is helping some of them see hope and beauty again, and regain the respect of their communities as peacemakers.

A look at child labor in the early 20th century in the United States as represented through the photography of Lewis W. Hine. The film documents the use of child labor in industry, including the exploitation of children and the lower classes in American society. Many of the jobs were extremely dangerous and numerous children and adults were injured or killed in the attempt to advance in society. The viewer must understand the context of the situation at the time and think of the individuals from the perspective that it could be one of their ancestors, in order to fully grasp the emotion of the video.
