well assuming you are lighting your subjects....there is no reason you need any higher iso than 100-200.

Use a tripod as well

If you are shooting close ups of small models...use the macro setting and manual focus.

try taking shots with and without the flash.
References :
it depends on where and how the lighting is... if you're trying to take a photo in the dark with a fast shutter speed you need a higher iso. focus again depends on what kind of photo you're taking... auto focus for quick snap shots, macro for close ups, etc etc. personally i hate flash i never use it, unless i'm going for a certain look.

definitely have a tripod or some sort of steady surface to achieve a sharp photo.
References :
It really all depends on what you're shooting and the lighting.

1) Keep it low (400 or less), set your camera on a tripod and you won't need the high ISO.
2) I'd go with macro or manual.
3) Off, as long as you've got the camera on the tripod.
4) Don't think you'll need it.
5) Off, try to use natural light or light the subject properly yourself.
References :
http://www.ephotozine.com/article/Beginners-Guide-to-Photography-part-6

what settings is good for still-photography?
I did not buy my digital camera for point and shoot. I bought it to snap models, and still photography. I have a Casio EX-Z1080, it's 10.1 megapixels.

What settings do you prefer i have on each of the following?
1) ISO
2) Focus (AF, Macro, Infinity, MF)
3) Anti-Shake (Auto, Off)
4) Dyamic Range
5) Flash (On, Off)

Does anyone know a few reliable websites for photography information?
I am doing a research paper on photography. I need information on types of photography, the history of it, and modern art photography within the sites. I am NOT allowed to use Wikipedia (unfortunately). I need good sources that have a decent amount of factual information, rather than just the typical photography website that has galleries and tips. Thanks.

Here some loose ideas I came up with. I am assuming you are going to want a web site, so make sure to do a domain sure to see if someone hasn't already purchased the domain name. Im certain that some of these someone may be already using, so its good to figure out how you are going to make your domain different if someone else has already taken the name. Ideally you would like it if no one else has the name.

Here are some:

best paw forward
purr,woof and prints
pets n' prints
pets n' photos
purr-pixs (or purr-pics)
paw-pixs (or paw-pics...pawpics)
puppy-pixs ( or puppypics...puppy-pics..pup-pics)
pettin zoo photography
oh behave! photography
good dog! photography
best in photo (playing off best in show)
blue ribbon pet photography
doggie treat
